France Defeats New Zealand, Ending Their Winning Streak

France beat New Zealand 30-29 in a thrilling Autumn series test, ending the All Blacks’ five-match winning streak. Fabien Galthie’s team scored four tries and added 15 points from Ramos, holding strong in a tense finish.

New Zealand, fresh off victories against several teams, aimed to avenge their World Cup defeat to France. However, tries from Lakai and Roigard, along with conversions from Barrett and McKenzie, weren’t enough to secure the win.

The game began with France making mistakes, allowing New Zealand to take a 14-3 lead. But France regained control, showing the clinical play that made them World Cup favorites.

France’s Ramos opened the scoring with a long penalty, but New Zealand quickly answered with a try from Lakai. Roigard added another try, and Barrett’s penalty gave New Zealand a halftime lead.

In the second half, France came back with Boudehent’s maul try and Bielle-Biarrey’s counterattack try. Despite New Zealand’s penalty kicks, France’s defense held firm, securing a win and remaining unbeaten against the All Blacks since 2018.
