At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will pay an official visit to China from Thursday to Friday.
Born in March 1968 in Athens, Greece, Mitsotakis holds Master’s degrees in International Relations and Business Administration.
He has a long career in politics. He was elected as member of the Hellenic Parliament five times in a row, and has been president of the New Democracy party of Greece since 2016. In July 2019, he was sworn in as prime minister and secured a second term in June 2023.
Mitsotakis is married and has one son and two daughters.
